INFORMATION & REFERRAL SERVICES:
Provides information on resources to assist homeless individuals and referral to other agencies for services.
EDUCATION & COMMUNITY AWARENESS:
Inform and educate the community on homelessness
through newspaper articles, television appearances,
and speaking engagements.
RENT OR DEPOSIT ASSISTANCE:
Provided to individuals and families after all other resources
have been exhausted. This is to prevent homelessness
and help secure permanent housing.
UTILITY ASSISTANCE:
Emergency assistance is available to those who have been
disconnected or disconnect is imminent. Utilities
included: electric, heat, water and home phone.
MEDICATION ASSISTANCE:
Available to clients who require life sustaining medications.
IDENTIFICATION ASSISTANCE:
Help obtaining necessary identification such as Photo ID or Birth Certificate.
EMERGENCY FOOD:
The MAHC can provide non-perishable food items for those who have their
own home.
EMERGENCY SHELTER:
As the MAHC is NOT a shelter, we can only provide shelter to those who
are homeless with temporary, emergency shelter upon availability if no
other shelter option is available.
TRANSPORTATION ASSISTANCE:
Assistance is not guaranteed but may be provided for local bus pass or vehicle fuel if proper documents are current; such as valid driver license, proof of insurance and vehicle
registration in order to prevent homelessness.
